Bread of Life

John 6:35
Then Jesus declared,
"I am the bread of life.
He who comes to me will
never go hungry,
and he who believes
in
me will never be thirsty.”

New Beginnings Christian Church’s “Bread of Life” Ministry provides two opportunities for helping those in need; a host church with Angel Food Ministries and NBCC’s Food Pantry.

Angel Food Ministries
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief to communities throughout the USA. NBCC has partnered with Angel Food as a way to not only help our congregation, but to reach out to our community because we have seen the great need for food relief.

This program is available to everyone and even accepts food stamps. IF YOU EAT, YOU QUALIFY!!! If you don’t eat, you can donate a unit of food to someone who does!

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the NBCC Angel Food Ministry Volunteer Application form. Please email Troy Borst if you have any questions.

Menus can be viewed online.

The July distribution is Saturday, July 31st, 9 - 11 a.m. Orders can be placed:

  • “Online” orders (credit or debit cards only) can be placed at the Angel Food website until 11:59 p.m., Sunday, July 25.

Please see Kelly Borst if you are willing to be a Angel Food volunteer.

If you have any questions about Angel Food, please call our direct Angel Food Ministries line at 813.403.9644.

Please see Kelly Borst if you are willing to help with Angel Food advertising.

NBCC's Food Pantry
NBCC’s food pantry distributes food every Tuesday from 9 - 11 a.m. to those less fortunate. In these tough times, the response continues to grow. Weekly, we need to replenish the pantry; therefore, we are in continual need of canned goods and non-perishable foods.

Monetary donations are also accepted. A monetary reserve has been used to supplement the non-perishable donations; however, the monetary reserve is almost depleted. We are now serving 40—60 people weekly.

Helpers are needed:

  • Monday, 9-11 a.m. to help prepare bags,
  • Tuesday, 9-9:30 a.m. to help distribute bags.

Below is a suggestion list of items :

  • Individual boxes of cereal
  • Box crackers – 4 sleeves per box
  • Snack packages
  • Canned fruit
  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Canned soup
  • Pasta
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Canned vegetables
  • Milk (dry or in a box)
